ABout me
Studying Nutrition and Dietetics at NYU during my undergraduate was indispensable for my future as a graphic artist and content creator. I was trained how to work in a kitchen with a team of any size, examine a client’s or patient's diet history and provide accurate and relevant advice according to their specific needs. I understand the fundamental principals of our molecular makeup, and how to develop a deep and meaningful rapport with anyone that I have the pleasure of crossing paths with.
It was the most unexpected interdisciplinary college education that I could have asked for, which is reflective in the wide breath of the work I produce and how my passions overlap to create something beautiful.
My creative approach always begins with empathy and a burning curiosity. I want to understand the human experience and learn just how far our abilities stretch in every direction. My self-taught discipline sustains my efforts.
The biggest misconception about artists is that they create lasting work spontaneously. As an athlete and an artist I couldn't disagree more. Artists work continue to forge through their journey with the thought that their next best work is about to be produced. The same goes work training for any sport. You have to work at it every single day. Most days aren't pretty, few are stellar, but its those incredible few breakthroughs that remind us why we pour so many hours into our sport.
Setting goals for myself as an artist and an athlete are what keep me motivated throughout my day. The beauty of having these deep passions also is that they balance each other out. I spend a lot of my time outside exercising, but an equal amount photographing, designing, illustrating, cooking, and writing.
It is during my most grueling training sessions that my mind suddenly crack a problem with a project or when the next line of a piece I'm writing runs across my mind like a news banner to help me push through my writer's block.
I am always interested in working or collaborating with artists and athletes in the NYC area.
